For decades, reports of Black people being hung from trees or dying under mysterious circumstances with no serious investigations has grown exponentially. Each case has either been ruled a suicide or closed without answering important questions and truthfully pursing all avenues to secure justice.

I will not be silent in the face of this vituperative attack, incessant danger, and lurking spirit of evil and racism. That’s why I’m going to be traveling the nation to investigate the lynchings of Black people. We don’t and have never hung ourselves from trees. That kind of diabolical violence has only ever been perpetuated by White people.
